Dominic Sabir and Delray Rawlins struck blistering unbeaten half-centuries as Bermuda emphatically bounced back to crush the Cayman Islands by 10 wickets in their second North America Cup clash.
Having fallen to a tense two-wicket defeat in the morning match, Bermuda responded with a ruthless display in the afternoon double-header, chasing down a target of 144 without losing a single wicket.
Cayman Islands won the toss and opted to bat, posting a competitive 143-5 from their 20 overs. Romeo Dunka anchored the innings with a punchy, unbeaten 43 to guide his side to a respectable total.
However, Bermuda's attack kept the scoring largely in check, with Kevon Fubler delivering an incisive spell to lead the bowling effort with figures of 2-9 from his two overs.
The chase, however, turned into an unrelenting batting masterclass from Bermuda's opening pair.
Sabir led the charge with a magnificent 73 not out from 55 deliveries, peppering the boundary with six fours and four sixes.
At the other end, Rawlins matched him stroke for stroke. Rawlins bludgeoned 67 not out from just 45 balls, striking five boundaries and clearing the ropes four times as the duo dismantled the Cayman bowling attack.
Bermuda raced past their target with overs to spare, closing on 149 without loss to secure a resounding 10-wicket victory and restore parity on the opening day of the tournament.
