Neriah Bean and his Oakwood University team-mates endured another bruising afternoon on the pitch as a ruthless Pensacola Christian College side cruised to an emphatic 4-0 victory.
The Eagles dictated terms straight from the opening whistle, laying siege to the Ambassadors' penalty area and generating three corners and two shots inside the opening five minutes.
That relentless early pressure yielded immediate reward from the third set piece. Jackson Clarke whipped a pinpoint delivery into the danger zone, finding the head of defender Sam Vannet, who rose highest to nod home the opener and mark his first collegiate goal.
Before Oakwood had time to regroup, the visitors struck again less than two minutes later. Freshman Aaron Diaz threaded an incisive through ball behind the backline into the path of Clarke, who kept his composure to slot home his fifth goal of the campaign.
Clarke continued to terrorise the Ambassadors' defence and doubled his personal tally in the 25th minute. Freshman Kayden Tucker cut back inside from the flank before picking out Clarke, who made no mistake with a crisp finish to take his season haul to six and hand Pensacola a commanding 3-0 advantage at the interval.
Pensacola rotated their squad heavily after the break, ringing in 11 substitutions, but the changes did little to disrupt their rhythm or blunt their attacking intent.
The hosts were breached for a fourth time in the 72nd minute following a slick passing move. Crawford and Clarke combined cleanly on the edge of the area to tee up Dinis Pires, who applied the finishing touch to claim his maiden goal for the program.
It capped a dominant, wire-to-wire performance for the Eagles, who saw out the remaining minutes untroubled to secure their second victory of the season and leave Oakwood searching for answers.
