Daniel Augustus produced a bogey-free final round to wrap up a dominant victory at the Johnnie Walker Classic, finishing on five under par to lift the trophy at Ocean View Golf Course.
Building on his overnight lead after an opening two-under 68, Augustus barely put a foot wrong on Sunday. He signed for a flawless three-under-par 67, collecting three birdies and 15 pars to cruise clear of the chasing pack and secure a six-stroke triumph.
His nearest challenger proved to be Nick Jones, who mounted a spirited final-day charge with a matching 67 to claim solo second at one over par overall.
Jones lit up the course with an eagle, three birdies, and 12 pars, but two dropped shots ultimately kept him from mounting a serious challenge to Augustus' unblemished lead.
The battle for third ended in a dead heat between overnight contenders Chaka DeSilva and Mark Phillips, with both men signing for three-over-par 73s on Sunday.
DeSilva endured a rollercoaster final 18 holes, mixing four birdies and 11 pars with a bogey, a double bogey, and a damaging triple bogey. Phillips experienced an equally turbulent afternoon, trading four birdies with seven bogeys and seven pars to share the final spot on the podium.
Andrew Trott and Jonathan James rounded out the top five, finishing tied at five over par. Trott carded a steady final-round 72 featuring two birdies, 12 pars, and four bogeys, while James slipped down the leaderboard with a four-over 74 containing a solitary birdie, 13 pars, three bogeys, and a double bogey.
