Somerset Bridge and Cleveland County booked their places in the 2026 First Division 40-Over Knock-Out final following contrasting semi-final victories on Saturday.
Flatt’s Victoria 138 Somerset Bridge 140/3
At White Hill Field, Somerset Bridge produced a clinical all-round performance to cruise to a seven-wicket win over Flatt’s Victoria.
Opting to bat first, Flatt’s struggled to generate sustained momentum against a disciplined Somerset Bridge attack and were bowled out for 138. Reginald Baker provided the primary resistance with a top score of 36, but Henrik McIntosh proved the decisive factor with the ball, tearing through the line-up to finish with standout figures of 4-24 from his seven overs.
Somerset Bridge made light work of the chase, reaching 140-3 with plenty to spare. Patrick Dill anchored the innings with composure, compiling an unbeaten 55 off 100 balls featuring five boundaries to steer his side over the line. Jermaine Clarke took 1-10 from two overs in a testing outing for the Flatt’s attack.
Cleveland County 244 PHC 203/9
At the Wellington Oval, Cleveland County fended off a spirited effort from PHC to claim a 41-run victory in a high-scoring encounter.
Cleveland laid down an imposing total of 244 courtesy of an explosive innings from Steven Bremar Jr. The dynamic batter blasted 89 from just 67 deliveries, punishing the bowling with five fours and eight sixes. Jahmari Beach led the PHC bowling response, claiming 3-33 from his eight overs to restrict further damage.
PHC mounted a determined chase behind Davin Dill, who struck 61 from 75 balls with four boundaries and a maximum. However, Cleveland’s bowlers kept the required rate climbing and applied consistent pressure, led by Q'Shai Darrell's sharp spell of 3-21 in 5.1 overs.
PHC ultimately closed on 203-9 from their allotted overs, sending Cleveland County through to contest the showpiece against Somerset Bridge.
