The Bermuda Football Association (BFA) 2026-27 domestic campaign will officially get underway on Sunday, 6 September, with treble winners Dandy Town Hornets facing FA Cup holders North Village Rams in the curtain-raising Charity Cup.
The season-opening fixture sees last term’s Charity Cup, Premier Division, and Friendship Trophy winners take on the Rams with charitable pride on the line.
Dandy Town have selected Citizens Uprooting Racism in Bermuda (CURB) as their designated charity, while North Village will play on behalf of the FrayStar Cricket Institute. All proceeds generated from the encounter will be awarded directly to the winning club's chosen organisation.
Clyde Best commemorative coin for captains' toss
In an initiative launched for the upcoming campaign, Butterfield Bank has produced and donated limited-edition commemorative brass coins honouring Bermudian football trailblazer Clyde Best.
The special coins will be used by match officials for the pre-game coin toss with team captains across every domestic match throughout the 2026-27 season.
Stadium light delays force Bermuda overseas in Nations League
Alongside domestic preparations, the BFA confirmed itinerary adjustments for the senior men's national team ahead of their Concacaf Nations League campaign.
Bermuda will compete across the combined September and October international window, travelling first to St. Lucia to face Guadeloupe and the host nation.
However, the Gombey Warriors have been forced to forfeit home advantage for their October fixtures against Barbados. The scheduled replacement of the stadium lights at the Dame Flora Duffy South Field at the National Sports Centre will not be completed in time, meaning Bermuda will instead travel to Barbados to play back-to-back fixtures against the hosts.
The group stage will conclude in Guadeloupe during the November window.
Dudley Eve Cup double-header on holiday Monday
Following Sunday's Charity Cup opener, domestic action continues swiftly on Monday, 7 September, with an opening-day Dudley Eve Cup double-header at Bernard Park.
PHC Zebras face Young Men’s Social Club in the 4:00 pm kickoff, before Devonshire Colts meet parish rivals Devonshire Cougars at 6:00 pm.
