Bermudian distance runner Jake Brislane produced a strong track display at the British Milers Club (BMC) Record Breaker Meet, clocking 8 minutes 17.67 seconds over 3,000 metres at the Tooting Bec Athletics Track in London.
Representing Tonbridge AC and Warwick University, Brislane lined up in a fast-paced Men's 3,000m 'A' race featuring a competitive international field.
Harrogate's George Couttie took top honours in a swift 7:50.41, narrowly edging Blackheath's Jack Kavanagh (7:50.67) and American runner Kasey Knevelbaard (7:51.50).
Brislane maintained a disciplined tempo throughout the seven-and-a-half lap contest, crossing the line in 12th place with a time of 8:17.67 to edge out Bedford & County’s Sam Knee-Robinson (8:17.81) in the closing straight.
