Bermudian cricketing stalwarts Arnold and Andre Manders returned to international duty in style as the IMC Emerging XI claimed a convincing six-wicket victory over Zimbabwe at the 2026 IMC Over-60s World Cup.
A disciplined bowling display followed by steady top-order contributions ensured the Emerging XI chased down Zimbabwe's total of 125 with plenty to spare.
Elder Stars with the Ball
Opting to bat first, Zimbabwe struggled to build meaningful momentum against a tight Emerging XI attack. While Ian Harris provided resistance with a well-constructed 39, the innings was dismantled by Dave Elder, who finished as the pick of the bowlers with figures of 4-26 from his eight overs to bowl Zimbabwe out for 125.
Manders Duo Anchor Chase
In response, Rafiullah Syed led the chase with a match-high 48, blunting the Zimbabwean attack despite Kenyon Ziehl picking up 2-18 in four overs.
Andre Manders chipped in with a steady 10 before brother Arnold Manders took charge, steering the Emerging XI home with an unbeaten 23 not out to seal the result at 126/4.
