Bermuda’s mixed doubles campaign at the XXVII Pan American Squash Championships came to an end following a straight-games defeat against high-calibre Mexican opposition in Asunción, Paraguay.
The Bermudian tandem of Taylor Carrick and Abigail Brewer took to the court to face the formidable pairing of Luz Sarahi Lopez Dominguez and Cesar Salazar.
Carrick and Brewer pushed their opponents hard in a competitive opening frame before the Mexican duo edged ahead to take the first game 11-8.
Building on that momentum, Lopez Dominguez and Salazar maintained control throughout the second game, closing out an 11-4 victory to seal a 2-0 match win and advance in the tournament.
