IslandStats.com
Bermuda’s Adriana Penruddocke took firm control of the 1 Person Women’s Dinghy fleet at the Central American and Caribbean Games in the Dominican Republic, winning all three races on Tuesday to build a five-point lead at the top.

Competing off Salinas Beach, Penruddocke dominated the day's preliminaries after eight total races to come off the water with 9 net points, heading the women's fleet ahead of second place.

In the 1 Person Men’s Dinghy standings, Sebastian Kempe moved into third place overall following eight races, sitting on 14 net points—just one point behind the joint leaders.

Away from the water, Bermuda faced difficult opposition inside the Ciudad Juan Bosch Sports Complex, where the netball squad fell 79-19 to a dominant Jamaica team.

Jamaica established early control, outscoring Bermuda 19-5 in the opening quarter before expanding their advantage through every period, culminating in a 25-2 fourth-quarter run.

In squash, Bermuda experienced tight quarter-final exits across three doubles events:

Men’s Doubles: Taylor Carrick and Anaya Smith were edged 2-1 (10-11, 11-6, 11-7) by Jamaica’s Julian Morrison and Tahjia Lumley.

Women’s Doubles: Sydney Wallace and Abigail Brewer suffered a 2-0 defeat (11-3, 11-5) against Lara Conolly and Jade Pitcairn of the Cayman Islands.

Mixed Doubles: Micah Franklin and Rachel Barnes lost 2-0 (11-7, 11-9) to Guyana’s Kristen Gomes and Jason-Ray Khalil.
