Nia Christopher and her FH Hafnarfjordur teammates were left frustrated after conceding a dramatic stoppage-time equalizer in a 2-2 draw with IBV Vestmannaeyjar in Iceland's Women's Premier Division.
FH appeared to be in complete control after a dominant first-half display.
Hronn Haraldsdottir opened the scoring in the 32nd minute before Ingibjorg Magnusdottir doubled the advantage on the stroke of half-time, giving Christopher's side a deserved 2-0 lead at the interval.
The momentum shifted after the restart when an own goal in the 59th minute handed IBV Vestmannaeyjar a route back into the contest.
FH looked set to hold on for all three points, but deep into added time Allison Lowrey struck the decisive blow, finding the net two minutes into stoppage time to rescue a point for the visitors.
The late goal denied Christopher and FH what would have been an important victory, leaving them to settle for a draw after leading by two goals for much of the evening.
