Team Bermuda Claim St Clair River Classic Victory

IslandStats.com
Team Bermuda produced a remarkable performance to finish first and second in the 32nd Annual St Clair River Classic, with David Selley and Steven Bridges leading from lights to flag in a memorable display.

Competing in the Super Stock class, Selley and Bridges powered the S-25 Team Bermuda boat to victory, controlling the race from the opening lap and never relinquishing the lead over the 12-lap contest.

The Bermudian duo maintained a relentless pace throughout, keeping their rivals at bay to secure an emphatic victory despite facing the challenges of a smaller-than-expected field.

Adding to Bermuda's success, Luis Martins and Nick Imprescia guided the S-12 Nuff Said boat to an impressive second-place finish, completing a dominant one-two result for the island.

The Super Stock category featured eight boats, fewer than the 12 to 14 entries class representative Cole Liebel had anticipated before the event. Despite the reduced field, the racing remained fiercely competitive, making Team Bermuda's commanding performance all the more impressive.

Selley and Bridges had entered the event knowing expectations were high, but they delivered when it mattered most. Their flawless drive from start to finish ensured the S-25 Team Bermuda boat never looked under threat, capping a superb weekend on the St Clair River.

With Bermuda claiming both the top two positions, the result marked one of the island's strongest performances in recent years and underlined the strength of its powerboat racing programme on the international stage.
