Bermuda 0 Turks and Caicos 0
Bermuda were forced to settle for a second draw of the Under-15 Girls Goombay Cup after playing out a goalless encounter with the Turks and Caicos Islands in their second match of the day at the Roscow A.L. Davies Field in the Bahamas.
Bermuda’s Starting Line-Up: - Kyra Simmons, Leyana Williams, Ki’ana Simmons, Kiara Deane Riley Khan, Nia Daponte, Me'lah Wolffe-Rutherford, Priya Dill, Kierra Broadley-Samuels, Daisy Langley, Leydi Raynor - Substitutes: - Sydney Denkins, Xha-Tore Sawyers, Marli Robinson, Cataliah Pitcher- Place, Nadia Medeiros, Harper Franklin
Fresh from an emphatic 7-0 victory over Grenada earlier in the tournament, Bermuda were unable to reproduce the same attacking fluency against a well-organized Turks and Caicos side.
Despite enjoying periods of possession and creating opportunities throughout the contest, Bermuda found the opposing goalkeeper in inspired form, with every effort denied as the deadlock remained intact.
At the other end, Bermuda's defence stood equally firm, ensuring the Turks and Caicos attack was also kept off the scoresheet in a disciplined defensive performance.
Neither side could find the breakthrough during a closely contested match, with the final whistle confirming a 0-0 draw and a share of the points.
The result gives Bermuda their second draw of the tournament to go along with their impressive victory over Grenada, leaving them well placed as they continue their quest to reach the latter stages of the competition.
