The Bermuda Pacers continued their impressive showing at the 2026 Russell E. Blunt East Coast Invitational, adding a Silver and two bronze medals to their tally and recording a host of personal best performances during another productive day at Durham County Memorial Stadium.
Having opened the competition with a silver medal on the first day, the club increased its medal haul to four thanks to standout performances in the long jump and the relay.
Amaya Davis claimed her second medal of the meet, producing a personal-best leap of 5.02m (16ft 5¾in) to finish third in the Girls' 13-14 Long Jump and secure the bronze medal. The performance came a day after she earned silver in the triple jump, capping another outstanding display from the young athlete.
The Bermuda Pacers also reached the podium in the Girls' 9-10 4x100m relay. The quartet of Giselle Reid-Rubaine, Diamond Morris, Bree Simmons and Skye Furbert combined to clock 1:00.53, earning the bronze medal with a composed team performance.
In the Boys High Jump 13-14 Division Orion Mederiros claimed the Silver Medal leaping 1.55m or 5 feet 1.00 inch
On the track, several Bermuda Pacers athletes safely negotiated the preliminary rounds to book places in their respective finals.
Raelyn Robinson qualified third in the Girls' 8 & Under 100m with a time of 15.87 seconds, while Skye Furbert advanced from the Girls' 9-10 division after finishing third in a personal-best 14.34. Clubmate Bree Simmons also celebrated a personal best, clocking 15.31, with Giselle Reid-Rubaine posting 15.24.
Nico Simmons continued his excellent meet by qualifying second in the Boys' 9-10 100m in 13.89 before later advancing to the 400m final with another second-place finish in 1:06.98. Theodore Smith recorded a time of 15.31 in the 100m preliminaries.
Jasmine Reid-Rubaine also progressed, qualifying fourth in the Girls' 13-14 100m in 12.98, while Jadon Lightbourne moved through in the Boys' 13-14 event after finishing fifth in 12.31.
Amara Samuel booked another final appearance by finishing second in the Girls' 15-16 100m in 12.81, while Brianna Lightbourne recorded another personal best with a time of 13.30.
Among the older athletes, Surii Russell produced one of Bermuda's standout performances of the day, winning his Men's 17-18 400m preliminary in a personal-best 50.18 seconds to qualify fastest for the final. Tobiah Goodchild also progressed after finishing fifth in the Men's 17-18 1500m preliminaries in 4:45.39.
In the field events, Orion Medeiros placed seventh in the Boys' 13-14 Long Jump with a best effort of 4.43m (14ft 6½in).
With three medals now secured, multiple athletes through to finals and a collection of personal best performances, the Bermuda Pacers have continued to build momentum heading into the closing stages of the prestigious youth meet.
