Elijah Daley narrowly missed out on a place in the men's 100m Butterfly Semi-Finals as Bermuda's swimmers returned to action on the second day of competition at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
Competing in the second heat at the Tollcross Swimming Centre, Daley finished second in his race with a time of 55.36 seconds.
The performance left the Bermudian 19th overall, just outside the positions required to advance to the semi-finals, bringing his individual campaign in the event to an end.
There was disappointment earlier in the session for Emma Harvey, who was listed as a did not start (DNS) in the women's 100m backstroke heats and did not take to the blocks for her scheduled race.
Bermuda's swimmers will now turn their attention to the remaining events on the programme as they continue their Commonwealth Games campaign, looking to build on the encouraging performances and national-record success recorded during the opening days of competition.
