Jeffers & Bristol West Indian Phoenix seal 8-wicket victory

IslandStats.com
Bristol West Indian Phoenix CC produced a ruthless all-round performance to crush Bedminster CC by eight wickets in their West of England Premier Cricket League (Bristol & North Somerset) clash at The Rose Green Centre.

A devastating bowling spell from Rushabh Yadav dismantled the visitors for just 55, paving the way for a comfortable, low-stress chase led by top-scorer Ashur Morrison.

Opting to bowl after winning the toss, the hosts wasted little time asserting control on home turf.

Yadav delivered a masterclass in relentless accuracy and control, tearing through Bedminster's batting order to finish with phenomenal figures of 5 for 5 in 10 overs, including eight maidens.

Bedminster struggled to generate any meaningful partnerships against the tight bowling line-up:

George Pearce offered the sole resistance for the visitors, fighting hard to top-score with 21.

Bermudian international Cameron Jeffers delivered a brief, tidy stint at the tail end, wrapping up his spell with 0.1-0-0-1 as Bedminster were swept away for a paltry 55.

Chasing a modest target of 56 for victory, Bristol West Indian Phoenix made light work of the response.

Despite losing two early wickets to Bedminster's Ben Meek—who finished as the pick of the away attack with figures of 1 for 5 from two overs—Ashur Morrison ensured there was no dramatic collapse.

Morrison anchored the chase with an unbeaten 19, guiding Phoenix safely past the target at 56/2 to claim a commanding eight-wicket win. Jeffers was not required to bat as the home side wrapped up maximum points in emphatic fashion.
