Bermudian duo Najiyah Raynor and Oyinde Bascome endured a tough afternoon in the Warwickshire County Cricket League as Coventry & North Warwickshire CC II suffered a comprehensive six-wicket defeat against Attock CC, Warwicks.
After winning the toss and opting to bat first, Coventry & North Warwickshire II were bowled out for 266. N. Kitchen top-scored with a fluent 79, while both Raynor and Bascome chipped in with valuable 21-run contributions to bolster the middle order.
However, Attock's A. Khan proved the main threat with the ball, tearing through the batting lineup to return clinical figures of 3 for 29 from his five overs.
In response, Attock CC made light work of the target, chasing down the runs to finish on 267 for 4. Opener A. Saleem anchored the run chase in style, smashing an unbeaten 115 to guide his side home comfortably.
R. Momand was the pick of the Coventry & North Warwickshire bowling attack, finishing with 2 for 54 from his nine overs. Bascome delivered a disciplined six-over spell, taking 1 for 29, but it was not enough to restrict Attock from comfortably sealing victory.
