The Charles and Lesley Marshall Fund Trevo Academy

IslandStats.com
Trevo Academy will expand access to its high-performance 2026 summer programme thanks to a $10,000 contribution from The Charles and Lesley Marshall Fund for Football, helping ensure more young Bermudians have access to elite coaching, mentorship and opportunities to thrive through sport.

The contribution includes $5,000 to assist with equipment and operational costs and $5,000 to provide seven fully funded registrations for the 2026 summer programme.

Families wishing to apply should visit the Trevo Academy website at www.trevoacademy.com to view details of how to apply. Applications close on July 24th, 2026, and recipients will be selected by the Trevo Academy team.

Established in 2017, The Charles and Lesley Marshall Fund for Football was created to honour the vision of the late Charles "Charlie" Marshall and his wife, Lesley, to invest in Bermuda's young people through sport. Charlie believed that Bermuda's youth should have the resources, mentorship and opportunities to thrive. A long-serving Bermuda referee, FIFA-certified official, former President of the Bermuda Referees Association and former President of the Bermuda Football Association, Charlie believed in creating opportunities for future generations long after his time on the pitch.

The Fund's Committee of Advisors—Lesley Marshall, Ryan Marshall, Troy Harvey and Shervin Dill—continues to honour and advance that vision. Managed by the Bermuda Foundation, the Fund is committed to ensuring the highest standards of stewardship, sustainability and community impact.

Shervin Dill, Director of The Charles and Lesley Marshall Fund for Football, said: "The Charles and Lesley Marshall Fund for Football was established to carry forward Charlie and Lesley's vision of giving back to the sport that meant so much to them. Charlie's vision was born out of profound gratitude. He believed retirement shouldn't mark the end of his contribution to football, but the beginning of a legacy that would create opportunities for young people across Bermuda for generations to come.

Supporting Trevo Academy reflects that vision by investing in young people through football and helping ensure more aspiring players have access to high-quality development opportunities. We are proud to support Trevo Academy's 2026 summer programme and look forward to seeing the positive impact it will have on participants, their families and the future of football in Bermuda."

Founded by Bermudian footballers Remy Coddington, Ajani Burchall and Sincere Hall, whose experience spans professional academy systems at AFC Bournemouth, Aston Villa, West Ham United and Hull City, Trevo Academy's high-performance 2026 summer programme combines elite coaching with leadership and personal development for boys and girls ages 8 to 13.

Remy Coddington, Co-Founder of Trevo Academy, said, "Trevo Academy was created to bring the standards we experienced in professional environments to Bermuda's young players. Through our 2026 summer programme, we aim to develop not only footballers, but confident, disciplined young people. The support of The Charles and Lesley Marshall Fund for Football will help us deliver that experience while ensuring more young athletes have the opportunity to participate, regardless of financial circumstances. We are grateful for the Fund's investment in the next generation and for sharing our belief that football can be a vehicle for personal growth and opportunity."
