Tracking Bermuda’s Rich History of CAC Games Success

With the next edition of the Central American and Caribbean Games rapidly approaching, Islandstats takes a detailed look back at the exceptional athletes who have flown the flag and made their way onto the podium for Bermuda.

Over the decades, Bermuda has claimed a proud total of fifteen medals at the regional showpiece, punching well above its weight across track and field, swimming, triathlon, tennis, and cycling.

The Gold Standard

Bermuda's ultimate moments of glory at the regional games belong to long jumper Tyrone Smith, who achieved the rare and spectacular feat of capturing a Gold Medal.

The island's silver medal collection features world-class talent, including an early regional podium finish from future Olympic champion Flora Duffy, a historic swim from Chris Flook in the nineties, and recent success in the pool from Maddy Moore.
