The rising stars of Bermuda beach volleyball secured regional supremacy with a thrilling 2-1 victory over the St Kitts & Nevis pairing of Celina Alwani and Shaylee Pinney on the sands of Frigate Bay.
In a tense, see-saw final, Gazzard and Sousa took the opening set 21-16 before the hosts roared back to claim the second 21-11 in front of a passionate home crowd.
Faced with their toughest test of the tournament, the Bermudian duo dug deep in the deciding set, showcasing immense composure to edge out their opponents 15-12 and trigger jubilant celebrations.
The golden finish completed a flawless tournament run for the pairing, who had earlier powered into the showcase match with a ruthless semi-final display.
The Semi-Final: Gazzard and Sousa dismantled another St Kitts & Nevis duo—Azaria Amritt and Arjenel Browne—in straight sets, cruising to a comprehensive 21-7, 21-11 victory.
