Dandy Town Hornets secured a hard-fought victory over Somerset Eagles as the Bermuda Football Association’s Under-23 League returned to action.
In the only Under-23 clash of the day, it was the Dandy Town Hornets who emerged with maximum points following a gritty performance at Bernard Park. In a match defined by defensive discipline and tactical patience, opportunities were at a premium for both sides.
The deadlock was finally broken by Enrique Swan, whose clinical second half penalty kick finish proved to be the decisive moment of the match. Swan’s solitary strike was enough to separate the two teams and ensure the Hornets walked away with a 1–0 victory.
Despite a late push from the Somerset Eagles to find an equalizer, the Dandy Town backline held firm to preserve their clean sheet and consolidate their position in the standings.
