Hornets & Bascome Secure Youth Glory in Finals

IslandStats.com
The future of Bermudian football was on full display at Bernard Park as the Bermuda Football Association’s Youth Finals delivered a day of high drama, clinical finishing, and landmark victories across the age groups.

Under 13 Tier II Final

Dandy Town Hornets 3 St. George’s Colts 1

The Under 13 Tier II Championship was settled in favour of the Dandy Town Hornets, who showcased remarkable resilience to overcome an early scare against the St. George’s Colts. The East Enders appeared to have the perfect start when Kayden Harvey found the net in the opening minute of the contest, but their lead was short-lived. Chance Franks restored parity for the Hornets just four minutes later, before Mazaii Tucker turned the game on its head in the 27th minute to hand Dandy Town a lead they would take into the interval.

The second half remained a tightly contested affair until Gebre Vickers doubled the advantage in the 61st minute, effectively securing the 3-1 victory and the title. Kobe Deane was instrumental for the champions, earning the Most Valuable Player award for his commanding performance, while Jack Walsh stood out as the top performer for a spirited St. George’s side.

Under 13 Tier 1 Final

PHC Zebras 1 FC Bascome 2

Drama continued in the Under 13 Tier I Final as FC Bascome edged out the PHC Zebras in a contest defined by a blistering start from the eventual winners.

Bascome wasted no time asserting their authority, with Mason Barioni striking in the 5th minute followed closely by a second from Remi Furbert in the 8th.

The Zebras mounted a valiant comeback attempt and pulled a goal back through their MVP Azai Burt in the 57th minute, but they could not find a way past FC Bascome’s MVP Xavier Hildago, who held firm to preserve the 2-1 win.

Under 15

Fc Bascome 4 Warwick Football Academy 1

FC Bascome’s dominance extended into the Under 15 final, where they produced a clinical display to dismantle Warwick Football Academy 4-1.

The afternoon belonged to MVP Jeon Wolfe, who delivered a sensational hat-trick to lead his side to glory. Wolfe was supported by a single strike from Micah Doran to round out the scoring for the victors.

Despite a consolation goal from Warwick's standout player Ja'Zhari Ingham, they were unable to contain a Bascome offensive that appeared to be operating at the peak of its powers.
