Bermuda's Aeziah Divine has completed his first official test of the 2026 R&G Moto4 British Cup season, delivering a promising performance that marks a significant step forward for the young racer.
Over two days of testing at Donington Park race circuit, six sessions were held in total with Divine consistently finishing in the top 10 - his target goal for the season.
He showed an impressive pace throughout the opening day, posting finishes of P9, P8, and P12 across the three sessions despite managing clutch issues in the final session. On the second morning, he carried that momentum into the first session, recording his fastest lap of the test and securing another P9 finish in both his Moto4 class and amongst the 35 riders in his combined group with a laptime of 1:41.817. The following session was disrupted by mixed conditions and ultimately red-flagged before he was able to complete any flying laps. Divine’s team did not go out in the final session of the test due to high winds.
Despite the disrupted second day, Divine finished P12 overall, a marked improvement on his P24 result at the same stage last year.
Reflecting on the weekend, Aeziah said: "It was awesome being back out with the team. I'm really happy with how it went, and I can't wait for the Oulton Park test in a couple of weeks."
Divine is working hard to put the right training program in place to run alongside his competition season to help him continue pushing on the sharp end. With the promising start, he’s more determined than ever for the important season ahead.
The next test takes place at Oulton Park on Wednesday, 22nd April 2026.
