Bermuda's Davis Cup campaign for 2026 is officially set, with the national team preparing for a significant World Group II Play-off tie scheduled for Friday, February 6th, and Saturday, February 7th, 2026.
The event has seen a late change of venue. Originally set to be hosted by Georgia, the tie has been relocated to Cyprus due to facility issues in the host nation. Despite the venue change, Georgia will still maintain its role as the official host. The hard court action will now take place at the HERODOTOU TENNIS ACADEMY in Larnaca, Cyprus.
National Tennis Director and Team Captain, Ricky Mallory Jr., is currently overseeing the local squad members as they intensify their training. The final spots on the team are highly contested, with play-offs scheduled to run throughout December 2025. The official deadline for submitting the four-man squad is December 31, 2025, after which the Selection Committee will name the players chosen to represent the island.
Meanwhile, two key overseas players are continuing their preparations. Trey Mallory is currently training in Florida, while Daniel Phillips remains in Louisiana, training and participating with his university team.
To ensure the team can meet all necessary travel and training requirements for this major international commitment, the Bermuda Lawn Tennis Association (BLTA) is actively seeking sponsorship. Interested parties are encouraged to contact the BLTA directly via email.
