The Tacoma Stars cemented their authority over the Baltimore Blast in a thrilling two-game series, taking victory with an 8-6 win just a day after the teams delivered a five-goal thriller. Fans were treated to another explosive spectacle as Baltimore Head Coach David Bascome watched his team battle hard on the road, ultimately falling short in the high-scoring affair.
The first period offered a solitary, but crucial, strike, with Baltimore's Leonardo Espinoza netting at the 8:45 mark to give the visitors a slender lead heading into the break.
The second period, however, saw the Stars burst to life, taking a firm grip on the contest. Goals from Alex Caceres (1:47), Micheal Ramos (6:03), and Nestor Hernandez (7:04) quickly flipped the scoreline in Tacoma's favour. The Blast managed to pull one back through Juan Pereira on the power play at 12:23, but Tacoma immediately restored their cushion just 43 seconds later via Tyler John (13:06), leaving the score at 4-2 at halftime.
Baltimore showed resilience in the third period, mounting a solid fightback. Jonatas Melo fired one past the Stars' keeper at 7:59, followed by Juan Pereira's second goal of the night at 10:41, which dramatically levelled the score at 4-4, setting the stage for a frantic final quarter.
The fourth period was a relentless, end-to-end exchange of goals. Baltimore initially surged ahead when Jairo Guevara scored at 5:08. But Tacoma responded just 28 seconds later with Logan Jones (5:36) tying it up once more. The real damage was done in the final two minutes as Tyler John completed his hat-trick with two rapid-fire goals (13:30 and 13:56), giving the Stars a decisive lead. Although Baltimore's Chad Poarch grabbed a consolation goal at 14:03, Logan Jones sealed the 8-6 victory for Tacoma with his second goal of the night at 14:48.
The six-goal tally for the Blast wasn't enough to overcome the Stars, who demonstrated clinical finishing down the stretch to secure the win.
