Netball Action Sees Big Wins at Bernard Park

Netball Bermuda League action at the Bernard Park delivered compelling contests across all divisions, highlighted by dominant performances from Storm Lightning and Phoenix Flames, while top young talent was recognized in every age group.

In the 13 & Under Division, Storm Lightning secured a commanding 14-6 victory over North Village Lady Rams. Storm Lightning's goals came from Sophia Odouri (9) and Eliana Trott (5), with Odouri also earning Best Attacker. Storm Lightning's MVP was Savana Hayward. For the North Village Lady Rams, Taylor Kyme scored all 6 goals, with Adiah Jennings named MVP.

Phoenix Embers defeated Storm Thunder 12-7. Quin Burgess led the Embers with 10 goals and was named both Best Attacker and MVP. Storm Thunder’s goals came from Xela Hall (4) and Honor White (3), with Tamirra Richardson taking the MVP award.

In the 10 & Under Division—where results are not officially recorded—top performers were celebrated. For Phoenix Sparks, Iyla Bascome was named MVP. Dandy Stars saw A’nylah Tucker take the MVP prize, while Kanji Armstrong was the MVP for Storm, and Bry’li Scott won MVP for North Village Lady Rams.

The 16 & Under Division saw Phoenix Fire claim a decisive 32-9 win over Dandy Stars. Phoenix Fire’s goals were led by Shiloh Simmons (20), who was also named Best Attacker, with Nyli Grant earning MVP. For Dandy Stars, Jaeda Morgan-Dill (5) and Izzy Hassell (4) contributed the goals, and Naiah Raynor was recognized as the MVP and Best Defender.

The match between Storm and North Village Lady Rams finished in a 16-16 draw. E’Rynn Paynter scored 13 for the Lady Rams and was named Best Attacker, while Kse Jennings earned MVP. For Storm, Sah-Qurity Warner (11) and Diya Steede (5) scored, with Vongai Benza named MVP.

In the First Division, Phoenix Flames delivered the highest score of the day, defeating DC Diamonds 40-10. Kammie Mills was exceptional for the Flames, scoring 36 goals and earning Best Attacker, while Uni Simmons took the MVP award. DC Diamonds saw Sioma Rudo score 7 goals and was named both Best Attacker and MVP.

In the Premier Division, Storm Surge defeated Phoenix Heat 27-19. Storm Surge’s goals were split between Kaamilah Nasir (12) and Elishae Smith (12), with Smith also taking the MVP award. For Phoenix Heat, K’xiyane Gibbons led the scoring with 16 goals and was named Best Attacker, with Jaya Dillas taking the MVP prize.
