The Southampton Rangers Sports Club has acted swiftly and decisively following the security breach at their ground on November 22nd, 2025, which led to the abandonment of the Paget Lions vs Devonshire Colts match. The club has identified the culprits and issued severe suspensions for their roles in the attempted attack on a Paget player.
The Club’s leadership convened a disciplinary hearing to review the incident, which saw several men enter the pitch and attempt to assault a Paget Lions player during the warm-up. The security breach and the actions of the individuals involved were condemned by the Bermuda Football Association (BFA) as "reckless, dangerous, and completely unacceptable".
The disciplinary committee identified those responsible and handed down the following sanctions:
Two-Year Suspensions: Leule Simmons, Sean Davis, and Joseph Robinson all received two-year suspensions for their role in the pitch invasion. Lifetime Bans: Dae Vickers, Arne Smith, and Zyus Simmons all received lifetime bans from the club, which will be subject to a review after five years.
Crucially, the disciplinary committee also recommended that contact is made with the Bermuda Football Association (BFA) to ask if they can assist with having the bans rolled out to all member clubs.
