The Berkeley Institute have been crowned the Bermuda School Sports Federation’s Senior School Open Netball Champions, concluding the tournament at Bernard Park with an impeccable 5-0 record.
The six entries in the competition played in a round-robin format, and it was Berkeley who showed their dominance, sweeping aside all competition to claim the title.
Berkeley’s closest match of the day came against the impressive runners-up, Somersfield Academy. The two teams delivered a highly entertaining, see-saw battle that had the crowd captivated. In the end, a decisive late run by Berkeley allowed them to pull ahead, securing a tight 9-7 victory over their tenacious rivals.
