The Bermuda Squash Association Club 2025 Championships continued to provide high drama at the Devonshire club, with an astonishing six matches going the full five-game distance, highlighting the fierce competitiveness across the divisions.
The Men's B Division was particularly gripping, featuring two marathon contests. Tony Muldoon ultimately secured victory over Rocco Adderley in a back-and-forth encounter that saw two tense tie-breaks, with Muldoon prevailing 11-8, 11-3, 6-11, 14-16, 11-6. In the division's other five-game battle, Benjamin Sherratt edged out Shane White 11-3, 11-6, 9-11, 10-12, 11-7, after White fought back from two games down to force the decider.
In the Women's B Division, Kira Johnson maintained her composure to win a tense five-game affair against Asa Zuill, finishing 5-11, 11-9, 11-2, 3-11, 11-2.
The Men's Open Division match between Charles Riker and Benjamin Bramlett was heading for a climactic finish before injury intervened. The score was tied at two games apiece, and the fifth game was locked at 2-2 when Bramlett was forced to retire, handing the win to Riker.
The future of the sport also impressed, as the Junior Division supplied two more five-game thrillers. Roman Shaw defeated Zack McClure, and Rian Moloney overcame Theo Usher-Jones in demanding contests, both demonstrating the grit and stamina required to go the distance.
