Bermuda FIFA Assistant Referee Clinton Hayward was heavily involved in international action over the weekend, officiating the friendly match between Antigua and Barbuda and Guyana at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in North Sound, Antigua and Barbuda.
The contest proved to be a thrilling affair from start to finish, with Guyana ultimately proving the more clinical side, running out convincing 4-1 winners.
Guyana's goals came from a combination of impressive attacking play. Stephen Duke-McKenna opened the scoring, followed by a strike from Osaze De Rosario. The star of the show for the visitors was Omari Glasgow, who netted a brace to secure a comprehensive victory.
Antigua and Barbuda managed to pull back a consolation goal through Quinton Griffith, but it was not enough to trouble the rampant Guyanese side.
Hayward's presence as a FIFA Assistant Referee in such fixtures highlights the high regard in which Bermudian match officials are held within the Concacaf region, providing him with valuable experience in international officiating.
