Bermudian squash player Taylor Carrick has bowed out of the $9,000 Men's Kelowna Open 2025 in Canada after a straight-sets defeat in the second round at the Global Fitness and Racquet Centre.
Carrick, who had received a beneficial bye in the First Round, faced Bransten Ming from the United States of America in his opening match of the Professional Squash Association (PSA) Challenger Tour 9 event.
Unfortunately for the Bermudian, he was unable to find a consistent rhythm against his American opponent. Carrick went down in straight sets with a final score of 11-6, 11-2, 11-8 in a match that lasted 29 minutes.
The second-round defeat brings an end to Carrick's campaign at the Kelowna Open, marking a quick exit in a highly competitive PSA event featuring players from the world rankings. The Bermudian will now look ahead to his next tournament opportunity to build on his season performances.
