The Pre-World Cup Pickleball Tournament continued into its second day in Florida, and while the medal haul was modest compared to the opening day's success, the Bermuda contingent secured a crucial podium finish at the elite level.
The sole medal won on Day Two belonged to the formidable partnership of Gavin Manders and Benjamin Jones, who clinched the Bronze medal in the highly competitive Open Men’s Doubles Division.
Manders and Jones battled through a tough field, demonstrating the skill and coordination required to compete at the top tier of the sport. Their bronze medal in the Open division, which features the highest calibre of players, provides a significant boost for the team as they transition into the main Pickleball World Cup competition later this week.
Their performance ensures Bermuda continues to register success and maintain momentum ahead of the highly anticipated global tournament.
