Elan Daley and her Tennessee Swimming and Diving teammates faced a formidable challenge to open their 2025-26 season, falling to the second-ranked Texas Longhorns at the Lee and Joe Jamil Texas Swimming Center.
The University of Tennessee dropped the dual meet to the #2 Texas team with a score of 135–51. Despite the overall team defeat, the Bermudian swimmer contributed to strong relay performances in the competitive environment.
Daley swam the second leg for the University of Tennessee 'B' team in the Women's 200 Yard Freestyle Relay, which finished in fifth place with a time of 1:30.82.
She later competed in the Women's 400 Yard Medley Relay, where she swam the third (butterfly) leg for the Tennessee 'B' squad. The relay team secured a solid third-place finish, stopping the clock in 3:35.77.
The season-opening dual meet against one of the nation’s top programmes provides the Tennessee team, including Daley, with a high-level benchmark as they prepare for the rest of their collegiate schedule.
