Adam Barboza has been crowned the 2025 Bermuda IOM National & Open Champion following a commanding performance in the International One Metre (IOM) class action at Stocks Bay.
In a highly competitive 20-race series, Barboza showcased remarkable consistency and speed, topping the leaderboard with a final total of 29 Net Points.
The champion’s winning effort was built on a series of clinical performances, including eight race victories and seven second-place finishes.
The battle for the top spot was closely contested, with Eddie Bardgett finishing just eight points behind in second place with a net score of 37 points. Bardgett was also a frequent winner, claiming seven race victories and three second-place finishes.
Rounding out the podium was Wayne Correia, who secured third place with 46 Net Points. Correia’s consistent sailing included three wins and seven second-place finishes, underscoring the high level of competition throughout the championship.
Barboza’s triumph at Stocks Bay confirms his status as the leading sailor in the IOM class for 2025.
