The National Archery Association of Bermuda has announced its squad of promising young archers who will represent the island at the seventh edition of the Caribbean Development Championship in Trinidad, scheduled from October 23rd to 26th.
Trinidad is set to host a record-breaking event, with over 260 archers from across the region expected to participate. This championship is specifically designed to expose archers, particularly from the English-speaking Caribbean, to the thrill and camaraderie of international-level competition, fostering development within the sport.
Bermuda's team showcases talent across several divisions: Recurve Under 15 Women’s Division: Sophia Davidge and Aurora Bowers Recurve Under 15 Developmental Men’s Division: Braeden Fraser Barebow Developmental Men’s Division: Damon Watson
The team will be guided by experienced Coach Bernard Wade III.
These Bermudian athletes have been meticulously preparing for this significant regional competition, and for many, it will mark their first experience on such an international stage. Their participation underscores the growth of archery on the island and offers a valuable opportunity for the young archers to test their skills against their Caribbean peers.
