The latest CONCACAF Rankings have been released following the intense action of the October international window, which featured several key World Cup Qualifying matches and friendlies across the region. Bermuda holds steady at 21st place with 903 points, as the regional table saw some movement further up the standings.
The top of the rankings remains unchanged, with Mexico (2,019) retaining the number one spot. The reigning Gold Cup and Nations League champions solidified their position following friendlies against strong South American opposition in Colombia and Ecuador.
Fellow FIFA World Cup 26 co-hosts, Canada (1,818), also held firm in second place after their own series of international friendlies against Australia and Colombia. Panama (1,765), the United States (1,727), and Costa Rica (1,701) complete a stable top five.
The ongoing CONCACAF World Cup Qualifiers have shaped the sub-regional standings.
In Central America, Panama continues to lead the pack, leveraging their unbeaten start to the Final Round of qualifying. They are followed by Costa Rica in second, who secured a draw with Honduras and a win against Nicaragua. Honduras, the current group leader in the Final Round of WCQ, is third, with Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua, and Belize rounding out the sub-region.
Meanwhile, Jamaica (1,510) remains the leading side in the Caribbean, despite suffering a major upset during the qualifying window. Haiti, Trinidad and Tobago, Suriname, and Curaçao all retained their places in the Caribbean top five.
The most significant result to impact the rankings came from the Caribbean. Curaçao delivered the biggest upset of the month with a decisive 2-0 victory against Jamaica on October 10th at Stadion Ergilio Hato in Willemstad. The win saw the previously 12th-ranked Curaçao defeat the 7th-ranked Jamaica, causing a ripple effect in the points.
In terms of overall movement, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines was the biggest mover, improving two places to 21st after consecutive friendly wins over Cuba. Guatemala (#8), Martinique (#13), and Guadeloupe (#14) each improved by one spot in the latest update.
