Bermuda’s hopes of reaching the CONCACAF play-offs for the 2026 World Cup have ended after a clinical Jamaica side secured a dominant 4-0 victory in Kingston.
The loss means Bermuda are now mathematically eliminated from advancing out of the group with two games remaining in the Concacaf qualifying phase.

Bermuda's resistance crumbled midway through the first half. The deadlock was broken in the 24th minute via an unfortunate own goal.
Just two minutes later, Bobby Reid doubled the Reggae Boyz’s advantage, finishing from close range. The pressure continued, and Shamar Nicholson made it 3-0 in the 35th minute, redirecting the ball subtly into the net.
The statistics highlighted Jamaica’s dominance, as they outshot Bermuda 13 to 2 in the first half and controlled a massive 72% of the possession.
Any hope of a Bermuda fightback was extinguished late in the second half. Substitute Dujuan Richards made it 4-0 in the 77th minute, running 30 yards before beating goalkeeper Dale Eve to his right.
Jamaica ended the match having outshot the visitors 28 to 5 overall. Bermuda keeper Dale Eve was kept busy throughout the evening, making a total of nine saves to prevent a larger scoreline. Final possession stood at 75% for Jamaica, versus 25% for Bermuda.
The result confirms that Bermuda’s World Cup journey for 2026 has reached its conclusion.
