Five sets of male and female champions were crowned at the 2025 Round the Sound Swim, with a US swimmer taking the overall men’s victory and several Bermudian athletes dominating the podiums across all distances.
The longest event, the 10km Swim, saw victory go to New York's Derek Cox, who was crowned the Male Champion after crossing the line in 2:00:48. The Female 10km Champion was Nina Coetzer, who finished eighth overall with a time of 2:17:37.
Fulton and Waldauer Dominate 6km
In the 6km distance, the titles were claimed by Elanna Fulton (Female Champion) and Alex Waldauer (Male Champion). Fulton led the entire field for the distance with a winning time of 1:15:46. Waldauer was the second swimmer home at the 6km mark, clocking the exact same time of 1:15:46.
Champions Crowned in Shorter Distances
The 4km Champions were Noah Fulton (Male) and Jorgia White (Female). Fulton finished in 57:17, while White secured the female title with a time of 59:23.
The 2km titles went to Will Keating (Male Champion) and Violet Smith (Female Champion). Keating recorded a winning time of 22:58, with Smith touching the wall in 24:41.
Finally, the sprint 0.8km Champions were Madison Schindel (Female) and Maxwell Williams (Male). Schindel stopped the clock with a time of 11:19, while Williams was timed at 12:26.
