A report was provided to the IOC Executive Board on the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games.
It noted that work is advancing steadily ahead of the “One Year to Go” milestone on October 31st this year. A major focus on infrastructure development at key sites includes the Complexe Tour de l'Oeuf - set to host swimming, 3x3 basketball, breaking, baseball5 and skateboarding, and the Complexe Iba Mar Diop, staging athletics and rugby sevens, with both scheduled for completion in March 2026.
At the Equestrian Centre, weekly monitoring continues, with essential elements due to be completed by November 2025 for the International Federation event, and full delivery by April 2026. Meanwhile, the Youth Olympic Village, including its sports facilities, is planned to be fully delivered by May 2026.
