Bermudian sailor Christian Ebbin and his Tulane University sailing teammates are poised to open their 2025 fall season this weekend with a trio of regattas in Texas. The Green Wave will be competing in the SEISA Singlehanded and Match Race Championships as well as the Lone Star Regatta, all hosted by Texas A&M – Corpus Christi from Friday, September 12, to Sunday, September 14.
The competitive weekend kicks off on Friday with the SEISA Match Race Championship. Teams will participate in a single round-robin format, with the top two progressing to a final round to crown the champion. Racing is scheduled to begin at 13:30 ADT at the Corpus Christi Yacht Club.
On Saturday, the focus shifts to the SEISA Open and Women's Singlehanded Championships. Each championship will feature seven races, with competition slated to get underway around 10:00 ADT.
In addition to the championship events, the Lone Star Regatta will also begin on Saturday from the Corpus Christi Yacht Club. The two-day regatta will see racing start at 09:00 ADT on both Saturday and Sunday, providing the Tulane team with an extensive weekend of competition to launch their season.
