Thomas College, with Bermudian players Tre Burgess and T'syi Showers in their ranks, fell to a 1-0 defeat against Endicott College in a tightly contested men's soccer match.
The visitors started the game well, creating the first chance of the contest when Jeremiah Gomez's shot forced a save from the Endicott goalkeeper. The back-and-forth nature of the game continued, with both teams trading blows. An Endicott shot hit the post in the 24th minute, and a shot on goal from Showers required another save from the Endicott keeper in the 28th minute.
The deadlock was finally broken just before halftime when Endicott capitalized on a corner kick in the 44th minute, taking a 1-0 lead.
Endicott started the second half strongly, with Thomas College goalkeeper Jamie Fischer forced to make two saves in the 49th minute. Thomas College continued to push for an equalizer, with Harry Clough's shot in the 60th minute requiring another save from the Endicott keeper.
Despite both teams trading chances throughout the remainder of the game, Endicott's first-half goal proved to be the winner, as they walked away with a 1-0 victory.
