Bermuda's Sebastian Kempe has concluded his campaign at the 2025 ILCA Under-21 World Championship in Dublin Bay, Ireland, finishing just outside the top ten. The young Bermudian sailor ended the regatta in 12th place overall with a total of 148 net points.
Competing in the ILCA Under-21 Men's Gold Fleet on the final day, Kempe put in two solid performances. In the first race of the day, the eleventh of the series, he finished 20th. He followed that up with a strong 16th-place finish in the final race of the regatta.
While a top-ten finish was within reach, the result is a testament to Kempe's resilience and skill, as he consistently improved his performance after a difficult mid-regatta spell. Competing against nearly 220 of the world's best sailors has provided invaluable experience, and Kempe will now look to build on this performance as he sets his sights on future competitions.
