In a testament to the strategic nuances of handicapping, Peppercorn ultimately emerged victorious on corrected time, despite not being the first boat across the finish line.
The initial dash saw "Crossfire" demonstrate impressive speed, being the first vessel to physically cross the finish line with an elapsed time of 46 minutes and 9 seconds (46:09). However, the intricacies of the handicapping system reshaped the leaderboard. After adjustments, "Crossfire's" corrected time of 50 minutes and 54 seconds (50:54) saw them drop to eleventh place on the night.

Close behind, Celerity finished fourth on the night with a corrected time of 49 minutes and 44 seconds (49:44), while RS 21, the sixth boat to finish on elapsed time, completed the top five with a corrected time of 49 minutes and 51 seconds (49:51).
