The waters off the Mid Atlantic Sailboat Club played host to the Kacy Simons Comet Class Memorial Regatta today, where the formidable pairing of Maxwell Curtis and Wesley Tucker sailed to a hard-earned victory.
Curtis and Tucker showcased impressive consistency throughout the day, securing two wins and two second-place finishes to accumulate a winning total of just 4 points. Their strong performance solidified their position at the top of the fleet.
Finishing in second place with 8 points were Dale Brangman and his crew Treasurer Nanette. They managed one race win and a second-place finish, but a fifth and an eighth place in their other races meant they couldn't quite catch the leaders.
Rounding out the podium in third were Anthony Smith and his crew Zanikae Hendrickson, who posted a consistent performance with two third-place and two fourth-place finishes, tallying 10 points for the day.
While Curtis and Tucker ultimately claimed the overall honours, it was Lorenzo Lambert and his crew Shane Morrisey who started the day strongly, picking up the victory in the very first race.
The Kacy Simons Memorial Regatta once again provided a competitive and fitting tribute, highlighting the talent and close racing within Bermuda's Comet Class.
