Fishel is passionate about both sportfishing and soccer. When she’s not out on the water, she enjoys unwinding with her French Bulldog, Chido. During her time at UCLA, her fierce determination on the soccer field and love for fishing earned her the nickname “BIG FISH,” a testament to her competitive spirit and drive.
Fishel played three standout seasons at UCLA, tallying 32 goals and 14 assists across 59 games. Selected 5th overall by the Orlando Pride in the 2022 NWSL Draft, Mia made the bold decision to take her talents to Mexico's Liga MX Femenil, joining Tigres UANL. She debuted on January 31, 2022, and quickly made history, scoring 17 goals in 17 appearances, becoming the first foreign player to win the Liga MX Femenil Golden Boot. Mia capped off the season by leading Tigres to the 2022 Liga MX Femenil Championship.
Internationally, Fishel was recognized by the International Federation of Football, History, and Statistics (IFFHS) as the world’s top scorer in 2022, with 33 goals. She also holds the U.S. national record for the most goals (13) by any player for a U.S. Youth National Team across all age groups.
