The Bermuda Football Association’s Under-23 Summer League Knock-Out competition continued at the BAA Field, with the Dandy Town Hornets securing their advancement.
In a competitive encounter, the Dandy Town Hornets defeated Wolves by a score of 3-1.
The Hornets took an early lead in the 9th minute through a goal from Isaiah Blankendal. Their advantage was doubled in the 26th minute when Enrique Swan found the back of the net. However, Wolves pulled a goal back in the 38th minute, with Kydan Browne scoring to narrow the deficit. The Dandy Town Hornets took that 2-1 lead into the half-time break.
The second half remained a tight affair until late in the game. The Dandy Town Hornets eventually sealed their victory in stoppage time, when Tajahri Rogers found the back of the net to make it 3-1, securing their place in the next round of the Under-23 Summer League Knock-Out.
Robin Hood 2 PHC Zebras 5
The Bermuda Football Association's Under-23 Summer League Knock-out competition continued at the BAA Field, with the PHC Zebras securing their advancement in a high-scoring affair against Robin Hood.
The PHC Zebras defeated Robin Hood 5-2 in a match that saw early exchanges and strong attacking play from both sides. Robin Hood initially took the lead in the 6th minute through a goal from Heris Ziai. However, the PHC Zebras quickly responded, with Dakari Smith Davis equalizing in the 18th minute. The Zebras then seized control, with Zakiyah Lee finding the back of the net to give them a 2-1 lead, and two minutes later, Harlem Bean-Fox extended their advantage, sending PHC into the break with a 3-1 lead.
Robin Hood attempted a comeback in the second half, pulling a goal back in the 48th minute through Tajai Goater. But the Zebras maintained their composure and lead. Three minutes later, Yeshai Burgess restored the PHC Zebras' two-goal lead, and in the 68th minute, Antonio Wade made it 5-2, effectively sealing the victory for the PHC Zebras.
This win ensures the PHC Zebras continue their journey in the Under-23 Summer League Knock-out, as they look to challenge for the title.
