Bermuda Juniors Reach CASA Doubles Semi-Finals

IslandStats.com
Bermuda's promising young squash talents continued their impressive campaign on Day Four of the 2025 Junior Caribbean Area Squash Association (CASA) Championships in the Cayman Islands, as the pairs competition got underway. Several Bermudian duos battled fiercely, reaching the semi-final stages in both boys' and girls' doubles.

In the Boys Doubles, the Bermudian pairing of Andrew Cox and Ethan Rosorea made a strong start. They secured a confident 11-7, 11-7 victory over Ben Shepherd and Dominic Wilson from Barbados in their First Round match. However, their run to the final was halted in the Semi-Finals, where they fell to Daniel Henderson and Oliver Henderson from the British Virgin Islands with scores of 11-4, 11-6.

Meanwhile, in the Girls Doubles Division, the Bermudian duo of Tyler Komposch and Gabrielle Turchiaro also showed their prowess. They advanced by defeating Sienna Scarpa and Kaylee Pierre from the host nation, Cayman Islands, in a convincing 11-3, 11-1 performance. Their journey also led them to the Semi-Finals, where they faced a formidable challenge from the number one seeds, Sanjana Nallapati and Mehar Trehan from Jamaica. Despite a strong effort, Komposch and Turchiaro ultimately went down 11-4, 11-9.

In the Mixed Doubles Division, the pairing of Rose Paulos and Eli Carpol faced a tough opening match. They went down to Brodey McComb and Milanna Lamontagne from the Cayman Islands with a score of 11-7, 11-4.

While gold eluded them in the doubles events today, the progress of these Bermudian pairs into the semi-finals across multiple categories underscores the significant development within the island's junior squash program. These results follow a highly successful Day Three for Bermuda in the individual competitions, where the island secured four medals, including a gold for Mason Smith in the Under 13 Boys' category. The team competition will now take center stage as the championships continue.
