The Bermuda Netball Association’s Summer League season continued at Bernard’s Park, featuring a mixture of thrilling Women’s Division and Co-ed Division matches.
In the Women's Division opener, the St. George’s Cricket Club secured a hard-fought 24-21 victory over the Devonshire Recreation Club.
For St. George's, both Nicole Smith and Nisaiah Berkeley netted 12 goals each, with Kse Jennings named Best Attacker, Shawnae Brangman as Best Defender, and Coriah Simmons earning the MVP award.
The Devonshire Recreation Club saw Best Attacker Miesha Greaves score 11 goals, Kristin Holman added 6, and both Jamir Hatherley and Best Defender Keizhari Knight contributed 2 goals apiece, with Demiqua Daniels named their MVP.
In the second Women’s Division clash, K-Net Assets delivered a dominant performance, routing Law & Disorder 32-4.
Best Attacker Candacé Paynter led K-Net Assets to victory with an impressive 23 goals, supported by Denise Truter with 9 goals. Allison King was named their Best Defender, and Khianda Pearman-Watson earned the MVP award.
Kandrea Romaine scored all 4 goals for Law & Disorder, with Sarai Paul as Best Attacker, Keeva Sealey as Best Defender, and Satya Darrell as their MVP.
The final Women’s Division match of the night ended in an exciting 19-19 draw between the Lady Stars and the Phoenix Flames.
The Lady Stars were led by Best Attacker and MVP Marissa Brangman, who scored 15 goals. Kim Thompson added 3, and Julesa Robinson scored once, with Asante Chapman named their Best Defender.
The Phoenix Flames saw Best Attacker Eshé Grant score 13 goals, Caillia Joell add 5, and Sydney Santos score once. Krishay Tucker was their Best Defender, and Dominique Richardson was the MVP.
In the lone Co-ed Division match, Front Street Mafia defeated the Bean Counting Netballerz 27-10.
Charlie Evans was the driving force for the Front Street Mafia with 19 goals, and MVP Jasmine Mapp added 8 goals. Olivia Bugg was named Best Attacker, and Jess Ferreria Best Defender.
The Bean Counting Netballerz' scoring was led by Candacé Paynter with 7 goals, Denise Truter with 2, and Khianda Pearman-Watson with one. Destini Hill-Edwards was their Best Attacker, Marnus Slabbert Best Defender, and Listen Timire their MVP.
The evening's results continue to highlight the competitive spirit and talent within the Bermuda Netball Association's Summer League.
