Cody Robinson will take on a key leadership role for Thomas College this upcoming season, as he has been named one of three captains for the Men's Soccer team.
Robinson, a junior, will lead the charge alongside teammates Micky Woodrow and Harry Clough. Thomas College Head Men's Soccer Coach Kyle Fletcher expressed his confidence in the trio, stating, "These three represent what it means to be a Terrier - grit, leadership, and an unrelenting drive to win."
Robinson's selection comes on the back of a strong previous season, where he played in all 19 of Thomas College's matches. He logged a total of 1015 minutes on the pitch, demonstrating his importance to the squad. During this period, he showcased his attacking contributions by scoring 5 goals and providing 2 assists, accumulating 12 points for the season.
His consistent performances and growing influence on the team have been recognized by the coaching staff, as Thomas College looks to build on a successful 2024 campaign that saw them finish with an impressive 13-2-4 overall record and an undefeated 8-0-2 in conference play, culminating in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Championship. Robinson was a key figure in that success, even contributing a goal in their NAC Championship final victory.
As a versatile player who has excelled both in defense and in attacking roles, Robinson's leadership will be vital for the Terriers as they embark on the new season.
