Bermudian motorcycle racer Aeziah Divine has achieved a significant milestone in his British Talent Cup campaign, securing his first championship points with a strong performance at the Snetterton Race Circuit.
Divine, representing Bermuda on the highly competitive circuit, delivered a personal best and finished inside the points for the first time in Race 1. He initially crossed the line in 14th position, but following post-race penalties issued to other riders, he was ultimately elevated to an impressive 11th place in the British Talent Cup standings for that race.
Reflecting on his qualifying performance, Divine noted, "I felt I improved a lot during morning qualifying. I was able to closely follow a group ahead and worked hard to stay with them for a tow. I got into their slipstream, helping me push for a fast lap, and I qualified 21st."
Describing a hard-fought Race 1, Divine commented, "I didn’t have the best start off the line but I worked hard to make up some positions at turns 2 and 3. While leading my group, I pushed on to close the gap to the two riders ahead of us, taking our group from four to six riders. A few riders in our group were messing each other up, leading the group to break up. We continued changing positions with a close drag to the line where I crossed just ahead of another rider to secure 14th and my first championship points! However, after some post-race penalties, I took 11th in the end.”
This breakthrough performance at Snetterton marks a crucial step forward for Aeziah Divine in his developing career on the Road to MotoGP.
