The National Swimming Championships have drawn to a close at the National Sports Center, culminating in exciting finals across various age groups and disciplines.
The Girls 13 & Over 50 LC Meter Backstroke A - Final saw a strong performance from Violet Smith, who touched the wall first in a time of 32.07 seconds. Taylor White finished closely behind in second place with a time of 32.74 seconds, while Marleigh Howes secured third, clocking 32.81 seconds.
In the Boys 13 & Over 50 LC Meter Backstroke A - Final, Brian Desmond emerged victorious, finishing in a time of 29.47 seconds. Logan Jones took second place, just fractions behind in 29.58 seconds, and Rory Shepherd claimed third with a time of 30.69 seconds.
The Girls 13 & Over 100 LC Meter Freestyle A - Final provided another closely contested race. Marleigh Howes, who finished third in the 50m backstroke, powered to victory in a time of 1:00.18. Bella Howes finished a close second in 1:00.42, and Katherine Wheddon took third place with a time of 1:02.28.
The Boys 13 & Over 100 LC Meter Freestyle A - Final saw Connor Hupman touch the wall first in a time of 53.17 seconds. Sam Williamson finished second in 53.88 seconds, and Logan Jones, who also took second in the 50m backstroke, claimed third place with a time of 55.47 seconds.
